Market Close 8 Nov 21: Buyers seek out gold and energy stocks as ASX 200 gives up early gains

The ASX 200 ended with a loss of 4pts or 0.06% weighed down by ANZ & MQG going ex-dividend. On the other side of the ledger, miners - particularly gold names, flourished, supported by an easing of long term interest rates. Travel stocks were supported by a continued easing in domestic travel restrictions.
