In this second reading from the book What is Man? Adam, alien or ape? we complete the introductory first chapter. The previous reading argued that the Darwinian model of Man's origin is implausible (a contention developed throughout the book). So what alternatives do we have in seeking to understand human origins and nature? Here we give preliminary consideration to three further models of Man's origin ... emergence by natural process (theistic evolution), emergence by divine implantation of the human spirit, and special creation by God.
