Atlantis the Truth

In what represents the culmination of 25 years of research on this subject, Nigel Blair states that around 12,000 years ago, a series of islands located in the Atlantic and possibly the size of France consisted of 10 kingdoms known as Atlantis. What happened to this civilisation that conquered much of the land around the Mediterranean? Were they the victims of the regular cycles of planetary catastrophe?
