We all want our kids to chip in more and help around the house, right? But it never quite goes the way we want. Their version of helping never really meets our standards. That's because we've skipped a vital step when passing out chores.

The problem isn't your child's inability to perform a task. Have you ever taken on a new role at work or gotten a new job? Part of the expected process is that you will receive training. Duh, right? Well are you asking your kids to take on new jobs that you haven't specifically trained them on at their level? (sorry, you performing the task around them every day doesn't count) If we're honest, we skip this step because we think it's obvious and not something we experienced. Or we have unrealistic expectations without regard to their personality and age appropriate skills.

The system is flawed. So I'm bringing you the 5 important parts to include before you completely hand over a new task to your kid and expect them to complete it flawlessly.
