Market Close 12 Jan 17: Market loses earlier gains to finish a touch weaker

The Australian share market has finished down 0.1%, held back by falls from Healthcare and Consumer Staples stocks. Investors are awaiting a key speech by US Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen.
