Father Koys is here on this final Wednesday in February of Lent 2015, however you might say we have our own Siskel and Ebert going on here, because Father Koys and Tony talk first about the 2015 Academy Awards last Sunday and the film that won Best Picture, Birdman, in particular the actor from the film, Micheal Keaton and how he played the character in the film, as well as Batman too. Father Koys also points out the differences in how these shows were conducted now and before when legendary comedian Bob Hope hosted them. Father Koys points out the many things that with this film in mind, how "fake" Hollywood can be or give people various ideas of what being famous is. SPOILER ALERT: For those of you who haven't seen Birdman yet, Father Koys shares many highlights and plot points from the film, so if you haven't seen the movie yet, please watch/see first before listening further on the show. With that in mind, Father Koys compares the film to real life, not just with actors and actresses working, but with all of us. He and Tony also compare the film to the real life situation in the film that gained success, American Sniper, which also was at the 2015 Oscars and recently released in theaters. On a different subject, Father Koys goes into discussing Catholicism further after the discussion on movie and the question of "Why is Catholicism a last resort?" and to help answer this a bit, we are going back into history around the Revolutionary War.
