How and Why to Disable Distractions
Hi, everyone. I'm John C Morley, Serial Entrepreneur, and welcome to another Super Motivational Friday. We have a great tip for you today how to avoid distractions and why.
First thing I would tell you is if you have Siri, you may want to say something like, hey, Siri, enable, do not disturb a service already turned out. So that's one good thing that you would want to do because you want to make sure that you eliminate that distraction. Maybe if you're home with friends or family, hey Mom, hey, Dad, hey bro, hey sis, I need an hour. I'm working on something. Can you just not interrupt me unless it's really urgent?
That's another great thing to do. I also recommend that in order to eliminate distractions, that you plan what you're going to do during that time. Maybe you're writing the beginning confines for your first book, or maybe you're studying for a test, maybe you're meditating it doesn't matter what you're doing. But let's realize that that time you have, it's very precious and valuable. So why not make the most of what you can with that time? Make the choice, ladies and gentlemen, to eliminate distractions. You know, successful people every day make sure that they eliminate distractions. You can't just pick up the phone and call them and you've got to schedule an appointment.
If you're calling someone and their phone is in, do not disturb, don't override it and ring their phone anyway, because when you do that, if it's not an emergency, it's going to say to them that their time is not really valuable to you. Everyone is valuable in this universe. I am, you are, and everyone else you know, even people you don't get along with.
So let's learn to respect others and let's make the choice everyone today to eliminate distractions. Because when we eliminate distractions, we propel ourself forward to success. I know that's what you all want.
