Market Close 7 Dec 22: ASX 200 falls for second straight day

The Aussie market fell for a second straight day and was weighed by rising recession concerns over in the United States. Losses were broad, with most sectors losing ground. The Materials sector however, bucked the trend and was supported by a modest improvement in the gold and iron ore price overnight.
