Did you see that the Sentencing Council - the body that advises Judges on what mitigating factors (if any) they should take into account before passing sentence - has told them that those from deprived backgrounds, with low educational qualifications and who may have suffered discrimination, should be given more leniency? Our Justice system is broken.
