How do you be professionally angry?

When I worked in corporate I was on a call with a guy who was furious, screaming, cussing and threatening to fire everyone. The interesting thing, I was the only person on the call he had the authority to fire and I was there as part of the solution.

Obviously that isn't a great way to handle anger at work.
