What you feed your baby is important! Abbott nutrition recently recalled various infant formulas: Similac PM 60/40, Alimentum and Elecare which contained Coronobacter, a bacteria that can be deadly. Per the CDC website, there were 4 illnesses and 2 infant deaths.

On this episode of N&H, Elyse Shelger joins us to talk about infant formulas, and a new vegan infant formula HEMBAL. Elyse Shelgeisr is a former professional soccer player. She became a nurse after retiring from her sport due to injuries. With ten years of pediatric critical care nursing experience, she is now House Supervisor at a prominent children’s hospital. She is a member of the board of directors for the Red Cross in Orange County, co-chair of the communication&voice committee for ACNL (the Association of California Nurse Leaders), and sits on the board of advisors for Hembal.
