Market Close 6 June 19: Market firms for third straight session

The Australian sharemarket has finished firmer for a third day, buoyed by optimism of further rate cuts both here and in the US. The ASX 200 (XJO) closed up 24 points or 0.4% to 6,383. Gains were across the board, with mining and energy stocks the laggards.
