ROMANS: Live by Faith “Rush to Judgment”

Rev. Matt Miller (Romans 2:1-16) I don’t know about you but sometimes I have an itchy trigger finger, meaning, I am quick to respond even before I know all the information. Ready-fire-aim instead of ready-aim-fire, if you know what I mean. In this section, Paul is telling us the judgmental spirit in the self-absorbed moralist pushes us as far away from God as the one who is shamelessly immoral (Chapter 1). By contrasting our “judgy” attitudes with the righteous judgment of God, Paul challenges our thinking and way of life.
