Every day holds its own challenges and unique stories behind it. Somedays are perfect… some days are not so perfect and some days are just out and out rotten… but hopefully you live for the challenge!

Ok there are few things I am passionate about. Jesus, my wife, family - grandkids, guitar and powerlifting and nutrition. (yes this is the guy who choked on a dorito last week for breakfast)
I owned a gym here in Minnesota and it was at one time rated the #1 powerlifting gym in the country… We got all kinds of people at the gym. We had lifters and athletes of every kind. Powerlifters, bodybuilders, highland game competitors, professional athletes, college athletes, HS and middle school athletes, olympic lifters… but the weirdest people I knew were the crossfit people..
I teased them a lot.
I used to say why would you want to be the best “exerciser you could be”. Just be strong, lift for a purpose other then reps…
ok, it was all in good fun… but what I did love about crossfit is what they call a WOD.
WORK OUT OF THE DAY.
You just showed up and it was on the board. You did it no questions asked. You had no say in it, you didn’t complain and your form could absolutely suck… and trust me most times it really did suck.
I find it a perfect metaphor for life in Christ.
Every day is a different Work out in your spiritual walk.
You don’t know what is coming
You don’t get to choose
You don’t complain
You don’t ask questions
And yes your form may suck… but you did it anyway.
And why?
You get stronger, you build resilience. You up your reps and shorten your time. You build pride in your walk for God.

Romans 5:3 Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
As you progress in your WOD… they have greater and greater challenges.
Matthew 25:21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.Come and share your master’s happiness!’
You serve well in your WOD with God and you get a more challenging WOD!
I was talking to a young man who was 18 and a senior in high school years ago. He shared with me his WOD with God over the course of his 4 years in HS.
He became serous about his relationship with God. He wanted others to know about Jesus so he would show up early to school and pray over the desks in his class. He then joined a PRIDE group in school simply to love them and share Jesus with them. He then started praying for his teachers and even having words of knowledge for them. And finally he started to preach outside his school in the park walk… even though kids would mock him. He talked about every challenge he took was a way God strengthened him for the next challenge…
WHAT WILL TODAY’S WOD PREPARE YOU FOR TOMORROW?
