If people feel you aren't being realistic because you are positive all the time, kudos to you, and remember this simple fact: REALITY IS NOT TRUTH. REALITY is a collection of TRUTHS. Consider someone who is underpaid for the work they do. There are three truths to this reality:

1. They have a job.

2. The job pays them.

3. The job pays them less than market value

In every reality there are multiple truths that you can focus on. Always focusing on the positive truth within the reality, doesn't lessen your impact or effectiveness in what you do. When you focus on the positive truth, it can actually help you get through your daily grind.
