US Close 11 July 17: US mixed- Retail in focus on Amazon Prime day.

US sharemarkets finished mixed on Monday. Retailers recorded the largest declines together with healthcare, offset by gains in the technology sector. Investors braced for the start of earnings season. JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo and Citigroup  will report on Friday. Federal Reserve chair Janel Yellen will also testify on the economy on Wednesday and Thursday. The Dow Jones fell by almost 6 points or less than 0.1% after holding in a 75-point range. But the S&P 500 was up by 0.1% and the Nasdaq gained 23 points or 0.4%.
