AM Report 21 Sep 18: US markets hit record highs

The US sharemarket hit record highs as investors seemed encouraged the US-China trade dispute could improve despite fresh tariffs on Tuesday. Gains were broad with 28 of 30 stocks on the Dow Jones lifting.
