US Pre Close 29 Nov 18: US stocks vault higher on Fed Chair speech

US sharemarkets rose sharply after the Federal Reserve chair watered down expectations for future rate hikes. With an hour of trade to go, the Dow Jones was up by 522 points or 2.1%. The S&P500 index was up 1.8% and the Nasdaq index was higher by 168 points or 2.4%.
