Today's Prayer Meditation is on the book of Hosea

I returned to you, Father. I was torn to pieces, but you healed me. I was injured, but you dressed my wounds.

You revived me and restored me so that I could live in your presence.

Oh, that I might might know you more. I press on to know you. And you respond to me as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in the early spring.

Your judgments are as inescapable as light. You show me love. You desire mercy, not sacrifice from me. You want me to know you. You want to restore my fortunes.

You love me. You teach me how to walk in your ways, leading me along by the hand. You take care of me. You lead me along with your ropes of kindness and love. You lifted the yoke of bondage from my neck, and you supply my every need. Your compassion overflows.

You roar like a lion, and I return to you. You bring me home again. I obey you and am faithful to you. You are the Holy One.

I speak with you face-to-face. I act with love and justice and I always depend on you.

I acknowledge no God but you, for there is no other savior.

My sins had brought me down, but I confessed my sins and returned to you. And you forgave me and graciously received me. I offer you my praises. No one else can save. In you alone I find mercy.

You healed me of my faithlessness. Your love knows no bounds. You are like a refreshing dew from heaven. I blossom like the lily, sending roots deep into the soil. My branches spread out like the beautiful olive tree, and as fragrant as cedars.

I live under your shade. I flourish like grain and blossom like a grapevine. My life is as fragrant as the choicest wine.

I stay away from idols. You are the only one who answers my prayers and cares for me. You are like a tree that is always green, all of my fruit comes from you.

Your paths are true and right, and I live by walking in them.

So be it.
