Rein De Loor, programmes manager, Americas at OMFIF, is joined by Marsha Vande Berg, a 2016-17 Stanford University career fellow, and Danae Kyriakopoulou, OMFIF’s chief economist and head of research. They discuss the outlook for US monetary policy, focusing on the risks emanating from tensions in relations between the US and other economies. They also speak about the macroeconomic context behind the Federal Reserve’s latest policy decision and the outlook for inflation, as well as the political outlook for the midterm elections and how this may impact the Fed.
