Dave Nassaney - The Caregiver’s Caregiver

Ep #61 - In today's episode, Matt Brauning sits down with Dave Nassaney, a caregiver, caregiver advocate, best-selling author, speaker, and entrepreneur. Dave states that his most important role in life has been serving as a caregiver to his lovely wife Charlene. Twenty-two years ago, Charlene suffered a massive stroke that left her severely speech impaired and paralyzed on the right side. This incident led to Dave's personal journey of becoming a caregiver and it has led to his advocacy for other caregivers.

30% of caregivers actually die before their loved ones. 

40-61% of caregivers have felt down, depressed, and hopeless just over the last two weeks.

Caregivers often spend so much time caring for others that their own needs are neglected. One of Dave's speaking points has been to teach caregivers how to avoid caregiver burnout and how to receive self-care.
