Listener dilemma: Father is getting remarried and only told children when it had been booked

Tara is in for Niall today. We got an email from a listener who's father is getting married to his partner of 10 years and only told her and her siblings after it had been booked so there was no engagement period. Do you think that parents have an obligation to talk to their children before getting remarried? Or do you think that it’s none of the children’s business?
