The Fine Gael MEP Mairead McGuiness is recommending that plans are put in place to deal with changes in the European constituency boundaries following Britain’s exit from the EU. MEPs this week approved the new make-up of the European Parliament once the UK leaves the EU. Ireland is set to gain 2 MEP seats which could necessitate a re-drawing of the existing boundaries.
