Episode # 973 - Being Optimistic

Father Thomas Koys joins us once again on this beautiful Wednesday here in Chicago, with Father Koys trying to be optimistic as he can be and he brings up one of his favorite books by G.K.Chesterton, Orthodoxy,   that talks about optimism.  Father Koys as usual starts off or continues the show talking about history, in particular one man he has brought up many times, one of his favorite figures, John Adams, along the lines of the historical times with the development of America with the 13 colonies first and religious freedom and the American Revolution, in reference to what is going on in St Louis.  He also uses John Adams or what he is talking about with him on the line of suicide once again.  Also during this discussion, Father Koys raises the idea about having our loyalty in God in terms of relation to our loyalty to our nation as well, also including paragraphs from the book he talked about in the beginning of the show today.  Also marriage and brides come up during this discussion as well, with some interesting comparisons, with Chestertons book coming up along these lines with not only our love for God, but our love for our Land, in terms of nations and countries.
