A new grant program through the Henry County Senior Center is aiming to provide aid to those who need help caring for a loved one at home. The Alzheimers-Dementa-and Related Disease Grant Program provides money to the Henry County Senior Center that the Center can then give to those in need for the purchase of items needed for the care of a loved one. If you have a family member or are the caregiver to someone with Alzheimers, Dementia, or a Related Disease, the Senior Center can assist with funds for the purchase of Lift Chairs, Incontinence Supplies, Beds and Bedding, Motion Sensing Technology, and ramp installations. Any one who believes they qualify for aid to purchase these items specific to the care of a loved one, can contact the Henry County Senior Center for more information at (309) 853-8831. Casandra Schmoll from the Henry County Senior Center announced the grant and the eligibility requirements on Wake Up Tri-Counties. Casandra also announced an upcoming Bus Trip to Branson, Missouri for which tickets are on sale now and two more trips coming up later this year that you can find out more about by contacting the Henry County Senior Center today.
