US Close 10 Oct 16: Markets awaiting reaction to Hurricane Matthew and election debate

* US sharemarkets eased modestly on Friday. Investor confidence was affected by news of a "flash crash" of the British pound that saw it fall by 10% in Asian trade before recovering most of the loss. US jobs data was softer than expected but investors still believe the Federal Reserve will be lifting rates before end year.
