Anne Williamson who served as Station Master at Keith Station is set to become the first ever recipient of a Services To the Community Award. Stonehaven and District Men's Shed are due to carry out an £80,000 renovation of Stonehaven Beach Pavilion. They gained the access to the building because of a 19 year lease and transfer of assets from Aberdeenshire Council. The 180 strong organisation is grateful to Rotary, Lions and Stonehaven Town Partnership for their help.
Charlie House, the children''s charity who are fundraising towards an eight bedroom specialist support centre at Woodend Hospital are taking a step up in fundraising. They take over from the Archie Foundation in the running of the Tempo Cafe at the Bon Accord Centre. The cafe will be renamed ReCharge Cafe and is modelled on the popular and successful US model where customers pay on the basis of their experience. Community Elements will get the low down in a future program.
