Mike Duplan is experienced, knowledgeable and opinionated - which we love! He's been a contributor in the western big game hunting community for more than 2 decades. You'll find his work in Western Hunter Magazine - which features beautiful and inspiring stories of big game hunting. A subscription to Western Hunter is worth every penny. 

Mike recently released this article: Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf and inspired a conversation with HOWLCAST. He knows the landscape and the cultural & political run-up to wolf translocation in CO.  As such Mike Duplan is also tracking the potential ballot initiative which would ban trophy hunting (mtn lion & bobcat to start) in Colorado.  

Listen in as we discuss the culture war that is using charismatic species like wolves and lions to remove hunting rights nationwide, and even go down the rabbit hole of what wolf issues CA will face as the #s there trend toward 100 or more on the landscape.  We talk about the need to support Coloradans for Responsible Wildlife Mgmt (CRWM) as they are the ONLY org ready to fight the attack on hunting  and conservation in Colorado.
