A Time to Dance; A Time to Mourn

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us that there is a time for everything, and a season for everything under heaven.  So we have to discern what season we are in.  The truth is, we are in a time of war...not with guns and bombs, but one that is waged in the spirit.  And in a time of war, it's not time for our usual indulgences and recreations.  Perilous times require desperate measures.  In learning to fight this spiritual battle, we have to rediscover the virtues and power of fasting and what it can do not only for us as individuals, but also for our communities and nation when believers unite in prayer and fasting.
