Market Close 5 Dec 18: ASX 200 recovers some losses to close down 0.8%

The Australian sharemarket has extended yesterday’s losses, weighed down by worries that US-China relations are still shaky. The ASX 200 lost 44 points or 0.8% to 5,668 - having been down as much as 80 points in early trade.
