Michael was most recently Group Executive of Enterprise at Telstra (2018 -2020), leading a growing business of $8bn and 8,000 employees. Michael has always understood the need for strong allies to help us achieve equality. He recounts early stages in his career when it was strongly advised that he not share the fact he was gay. That no one would want to hire him.
Together we discuss his own turning point, how most leaders underestimate the impact and shadow they cast over their teams and how he challenged a chairman who always spoke over women.
