Just a small group of U.S. billionaires have increased their wealth so much during the coronavirus pandemic that they could have given $3,000 stimulus checks to every man, woman and child in the country and still be richer than they were nine months ago," according to an article in the current issue of The Guardian.

Can an economy this lopsided be fixed? If so, how?

Can any country have such stark, entrenched  inequality and still call itself democratic? How would you describe such a society?
