Laid open to infinity

On Easter Sunday, Pastor Phil Kniss remarked on how a long, cold winter orients us to a strong desire for reprieve and new life. Lent does that as well. Pastor Phil then asked, "What kind of healing has Easter brought?" Easter marks a defeat of death, but death still happens. So what difference does the Easter gospel make? And how do we live with that difference? How do we live, laid open to the infinity that is God's love? Colossians 3:1-4 calls us to live oriented to things above. That is the message of the Easter gospel.
