Economic Insights 25 Jul 18: Inflation a touch weaker than expected

The Consumer Price Index, the main measure of inflation in Australia, rose by 0.4% in the June quarter, below expectations for a lift of 0.5%. Petrol prices jumped 6.9% over the period.
