The European Commission’s multi-billion euro investment plan has failed to provide help for small businesses in Ireland. So says the Sinn Fein MEP Liadh Ni Riada. This week the European Parliament debated the progress of the so-called Juncker plan one year after its creation. The €315 billion plan aims to reenergise stagnant growth and unemployment across Europe. However, Ms Ni Riada says small Irish businesses are having difficulties accessing the plan’s funds.
