N28: Aggravations that Heal

Homeopathic remedies given to people with chronic disease and who are on suppressive medications can have aggravations that last 3 to 7 days or even a little longer.  These aggravations are caused because the body is reading the homeopathic remedy and using it to learn to cure itself.  Much like a computer that brings up the corrupted files and begins healing some while quarantining others, so too does the body use the codes in the remedies to create simulations of actual symptoms it experiencing. This is how the body reads and uses the information from the ‘artificial disease pictures created by the remedy.’

Allopathic and antipathic medication may provide a short period of improvement, but many times the aggravation hits as a worsening of their state as the body responds in its secondary reaction to the suppressive medication that has intervened in its natural state.  This aggravation is the aggravation of the person’s state.  In homeopathy it is the aggravation caused by the body to activate the body’s immune response and cure itself. 

In Hahnemann’s book, the Organon of the Medical Arts, he discusses the small aggravations of acute disease on pages 170-171 and aggravations from chronic disease which he discusses from page 173.  Chronic aggravations are part of the healing process and occur when taking extra doses or getting a new remedy.  They are often called healing crises, and are very  important and the patient will need to be patient as the body reverses the mistunement of the diseased state.
