Poland is a “fight for democracy” - Andrews

Billions of Euro in EU covid recovery funding should only be distributed to countries that meet rule of law standards – that’s according to Barry Andrews. The Recovery and Resilience Facility is made up of loans and grants totalling more than €720 billion. In the terms, member states agreed respect for EU values would be a prerequisite for the cash. Fianna Fáil MEP, Barry Andrews, says funding for Poland should be withheld until its rule of law is back in line.
