Permission To Speak with Comedian Paul Mecurio

On today’s episode of the Hey Rhody Podcast, Revill sits down with Rhode Island native Paul Mecurio–an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning comedian, writer, and actor. Known for his work on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Paul has built an impressive career spanning television, film, and live performances.

In addition to his comedy, Paul is the host of the critically acclaimed podcast Inside Out with Paul Mecurio and a regular commentator on major news and sports networks, including CNN, MSNBC, CBS Sunday Morning, Fox News, HLN, and ESPN. Now, he’s bringing his hit one-man Broadway show, Permission to Speak, to the United Theater in Westerly on March 7 and 8.

In this episode, Paul shares his journey from Wall Street lawyer to stand-up comedian, the importance of taking risks, and how comedy and art can bridge connections in an increasingly isolated world. Plus, he gives us the inside scoop on the best places to eat when he visits Rhode Island!
