PFD Comm’r Adam Thiel on Hazmat Disasters: Bonus Episode

In 2019, the Philadelphia Fire Dept. helped handle a refinery fire that lasted 3 months.  Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel speaks with Editorial Assistant Jacob Sorensen about where he sees the need for EMS on hazmat incidents. Major hazmat incidents might be uncommon, but preparing for their response—triage, incident command, specific injury patterns—is a critical component of keeping communities safe.
