Mid-Session 24 July 19: Local shares move higher helped by US gains and talk of rate cuts

The ASX struck a confident note in opening trade on Wednesday with every sector posting solid gains. Buyers were encouraged by forecasts suggesting that the RBA could be more aggressive in relation to rate cuts over the near term.
