Examine and Seek (Homily – September 25, 2025)

On Thursday of the 25th Week in Ordinary Time (September 25, 2025), Fr. Korey LaVergne preaches from Haggai 1:1–8 and Luke 9:7–9.

The prophet urges Israel: “Consider your ways.” Their paneled homes stood finished while the Lord’s house remained in ruins, and their neglect left the whole community unsatisfied.

In the Gospel, Herod is curious about Jesus but unwilling to repent. Curiosity without conversion starves the soul, but holy desire fills it.
