Join Lora as she interviews Jill Castle, America's Childhood Nutrition Expert as she shares her wisdom, knowledge and advice on feeding our children. Jill is a pediatric dietitian and nutritionist with years of training in the specialized field of nutrition for infants, toddlers, children and teens. She has had many experiences working with kids of all ages in a variety of settings. As a clinical dietitian at Massachusetts General Hospital (she did her dietetic internship training there), she worked with children aged birth through adolescence who were hospitalized for various medical concerns such as cystic fibrosis, gastrointestinal challenges, diabetes, eating disorders and more. After obtaining her Master’s degree in pediatric nutrition, she moved to Boston Children’s Hospital where she worked exclusively as a pediatric nutrition support dietitian using intravenous nutrition for kids with bone marrow transplantation, gastro-intestinal diseases, cardiac surgery and intensive care. And then she had four children of her own. She took several years off work to focus on raising them. And boy did she learn a lot about the day to day grind of cooking, snacks, meals, eating, feeding and all the stuff that goes into raising healthy kids who eat in a balanced way.
