Episode # 975 - To Take A Stand

Once again TGIF everyone here on the Winds Of Change and the gang's all here, for Gerri is here for her usual Friday visit to the show and once again Father Anthony has much to talk about, so much it's always hard to fit it all in during the show's hour.  To start off, Father Anthony talks a bit more about what is going on in the Middle East and the holocaust going on and on a lighter note, brings up the recent Masses he has conducted recently, in terms of giving our lives to Christ and having a relationship with the Lord.  However, Father Anthony continues his discussion of Islam and how people pay more attention to things going on in pop culture and not really what is happening, making them seem a bit naive maybe, possibly enslaved to things, especially the be-heading of James Foley in the Middle East being one of the many horrific things going on there.  With all this going on, Father Anthony points out that a stand should be taken, especially from articles he has been ready about these tragedies going on, that we have a responsibility to take a stand, including what the Pope has said about this in order to stop this and stop the aggression. He also talks about upcoming guests and events going on for the show and at St Stans.  After the second break, Father Anthony talks about the Pope talking about memory and remembering where we as a people come from, reflecting on what has been talked about.
