Since Jesus' ascension He has been in a posture of prayer for the Church (Hebrews 7:25). Once we realize as we are born again and that we too have been risen with Christ we realize two things. First, that we are spiritually seated with Christ in heavenly places and second, we continue to demonstrate His kingdom on earth in our physical bodies. This “in between” period until Jesus comes again is a time where we must allow our faith in Jesus to determine our identity and purpose. The more we realize who we are in Christ the better we will use our gifts to reveal who Jesus is.
