Market Close 4 Mar 22: 5-day winning streak ends

The Australian sharemarket fell by 0.57% on Friday, snapping a five-day winning streak on reports Russian troops attacked Europe's largest nuclear power plant in Ukraine. Mining and energy stocks surged by 8% this week however, making it the best week in close to six years for the materials index.
