Miami Hurricanes absolutely obliterated North Carolina State 41–7 to improve to 8–2 on the season. The Hurricanes defense was utterly dominant, limiting the Wolfpack to 143 yards of offense and shutting them out for the first 59 minutes of the game. Carson Beck threw for 291 yards and completed his last 13 passes to finish 21 of 27 along with three touchdown passes. Girard Pringle, Jr started his first game as a freshman and rushed 17 times for 116 yards. He also caught two passes for 32 yards while Malachi Toney caught five passes for 54 yards and two touchdowns and threw a 44 yard pass to JoJo Trader. It was the most complete performance of the season for the Miami Hurricanes. The win should certainly elevate the canes in the college football playoff poll, how high up they jump, remains to be seen, but this was a statement win of all statement wins, dominating a very, very good offense.
