This is something I've heard @ChrisWillx refer to as the 'lonely transition period'
When you're focused on bettering yourself, you might find yourself cutting off relationships and habits that don't align or hinder that journey of self-development and personal growth. If no one else around is trying to change in the same way, it's easy to feel isolated and eventually even lose motivation. As you adopt these new habits or hobbies, you may drift apart from some friends or family who don't understand your growth
In the full conversation, my guest shares advice on how to effectively manage and overcome this period of loneliness when on your own path of self-development, and how he managed to navigate this experience on more tha one occassion through his own journey - and you can listen to it here:
