What Is Iowa Safe Schools?

Depending on who you know you may have never heard of Iowa Safe Schools however we bet you've heard about bullying in schools or hazing, the uptick among suicides in our schools and the Governor's Conference on LGBTQ Youth. Meet Scott Heldt the Communications and Development Director for Iowa Safe Schools and Executive Director Nate Monson. Here we talk about how Iowa Safe Schools assists LGBTQ students with a number of affirming projects from bullying intervention, to staff training, to the Iowa Gay-Straight Alliance. And, because we ran out of time we've included the Insight on Business Extra where we talk about funding and the upcoming 2017 Spirit Awards scheduled for October of 2017.
