When both of her daughters were diagnosed with severe allergies and other physical disabilities, Stephanie had to learn the ropes on her own. She started Unique Heartbeat as a way to help other families in her community that face similar challenges.
The only option to find the right foods for her daughters is to experiment with them. This process can be traumatic and result in either one of her daughters going into anaphylactic shock. Stephanie finds her strength within her support system. The support from her family has helped Stephanie be the best mother she can be by keeping her girls healthy. Together, Stephanie and her mom have learned to read labels, and form systems that keep everyone protected.
