Ni Riada calls for review of Common Fisheries Policy

The Sinn Fein MEP Liadh Ni Riada is calling for a review of the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy. Her calls follow the announcement last weekend that Britain is to withdraw from the London Fisheries Convention. The deal allows six European countries, including Ireland, to fish in British waters. However, the British government argues its withdrawal from the convention will enable the UK to take back control of its own waters post Brexit. Liadh Ni Riada says that withdrawal will change the Common Fisheries policies.
